Data Presentation
Banded Layout
The Banded Layout displays a single record within the control. Users can navigate the records in the underlying dataset via the grid's horizontal scroll bar. If there are more fields than can fit into the vertical grid's area vertically, the layout wraps into another "column".
Muti-Record Layout
The Multi-Record layout displays and arranges records vertically from left to right with a single header (caption) column.
Tree Display Mode
Because individual rows can hold a collection of child rows, you can easily represent data using a tree-like UI metaphor where parent rows can be expanded/collapsed in order to display/hide associated child rows.
Caterories
By using Categories, you can arrange rows into individual groups for improved readability and more efficient data entry. End-users can expand/collapse Category Rows as needed. Should your application require runtime customization, you can allow users to create new Categories and re-arrange them as needed.

Compare Records Side-by-Side

You can easily configure the Vertical Grid control to allow users to compare individual records side-by-side, temporarily hiding other records. To compare individual records, simply right-click a record's header and select "Add to Comparison" (or select the record using the checkbox). When all required records are selected, invoke the context menu once again and select "Show Comparison".
