Item Link Mode

The ItemLinkMode property specifies how navbar items are represented as links within the navbar control. By default, this property is set to ContentBounds which makes the navbar entirely interactive. If you need to display a simple navbar (such as a set of links within groups), set the ItemLinkMode property to TextOnly.

Our ASP.NET NavBar control supports AJAX technology by implementing the ability to load the content of a group from the server via a callback when the group is expanded. This approach allows the navbar to avoid the initial transfer of all its group's data to the client.

Turn on the EnableCallBacks option to enable the use of callbacks. In this instance, the contents of the collapsed groups are not represented on the client. When a group is expanded for the first time, its content is retrieved from the server and then cached on the client. The next time the group is expanded, its content is taken from the client and no callback to the server is performed.

Tag Cloud Control

The DevExpress ASP.NET Cloud Control allows you to create tag clouds - a unique data visualization metaphor. Tag clouds consist of links which appear differently based upon their weight (rank). Tags in the control can be ranked by different criteria, such as the number of user messages, product sales volume, number of elements in a category, etc.
